SPECIALTY OPERATIONS

  • Forming coils on stainless steel tubing (we coil 1/8" stainless steel into coils welding or brazing fittings to the ends)

  • Spot-welding (Can attach Platinum or similar metals to nickel leads. We have a supply of electrodes including coolgrids. Cool grids have a braided nickel end, a tungsten center for sealing to glass and a nickel lead to spot weld.)

  • Brazing

  • Small-hole drilling in glass

  • Glass to metal seals (produced 10,000 glass to metal seals - these electronic tubes had two Kovar seals and a tolerance held within .010")

  • Tube fabrication (spliced 28mm tubing to make 28' long tube)

  • Tube bending (3mm tubing bent to 6" radius within .010")

  • Pyrex bending (25mm tubing 8' long bent to a 10' radius)

  • Annealing oven with microprocessor control for repeatable annealing
